Walking along during a light snow, looking for things to photograph, I noticed a yellow mat imbedded in the sidewalk ahead of me. What was it for? Then it dawned on me: it was a warning for pedestrians (like me) of a railroad crossing.
So, I took a picture of the mat. Then I noticed the muscular-looking crossing-gate machinery next to me. So, I took a few shots of that. Suddenly, a commuter train came into view, and the machinery went into operation. Red lights flashed, bells gonged, and the gates began to lower. I stepped quickly out of the way, and raised my camera one last time.
