Massachusetts is re-opening slowly, cautiously, as public health authorities monitor progress against the coronavirus. As I reported earlier, to help the many restaurants and other businesses in downtown Waltham, our mayor has blocked off a portion of Moody Street from vehicular traffic. As these photos show, real street life has begun to emerge. Of course, diners have to take off their masks to eat, but there was a steady summer breeze that gave them, and other visitors, a margin of safety.
