The Sunday morning crowd was a little thinner than I expected, probably because folks were away for the Memorial Day weekend. The weather was perfect for eating outdoors, but the harsh light was less than perfect for taking pictures. It produced a lot of blown highlights and dense shadows. Fortunately, I was able to recover most of the lost detail in my photo editor—but it took time.
In A Pickle Restaurant specializes in breakfast and lunch, seven days a week. It’s hugely popular among all ages because prices are reasonable, the portions are big, and the menu selections are almost limitless—15 different omelets, for example, 14 kinds of pancakes, and 7 varieties of French toast. Most important, in my view, the coffee is good.
