With the weather cooling, we've moved indoors to enjoy our coffee and conversation. Five of these portraits were taken inside the café. Only the fourth from top was shot outside. These candid portraits can fairly be called "snapshots" because they were taken quickly, on the fly, so to speak. Lighting for the indoor shots came from the large café windows. As photographer, I had little control over conditions except what I could capture by quick response. My main contribution came later, in the photo editor. As always, in deciding which of many shots to publish, I looked for character or interest in the faces.
