Street photography as a genre has historical roots, but in today’s world, it might aptly be named, "public photography." For it captures little stories in many different public spaces—in coffee shops as well as on the street. These little stories are slices of life that viewers can relate to: "I’ve been there, I’ve seen or done that, I’ve felt that way." They are also a record for future generations to learn about us—how we lived our daily lives.
