Winchester is an affluent Boston suburb a few miles north of Waltham. In this first of three installments, residents assemble at the red-brick, Victorian town hall, and then march informally several blocks to the picturesque downtown, where the trick-or-treat phase of the day’s events will begin. Above all, this was the children’s day. I took these photos on freelance assignment for the local newspaper. (See also Part 2 of 3 and Part 3 of 3.)
