Sometimes, the simplest human activity can produce an interesting street photo, or in this case a series of such. I think we recognize ourselves in these simple activities, and that stimulates our interest. Here, these ladies had just emerged from church on Easter Sunday, in early afternoon. From the hour, and the informality of their dress, I suspect they were coming from a meeting of some kind, not from church services. It is the second photo, with its geometric patterns, that I feel distills the activity best; it’s the one I would choose, if asked to do so.
