The day was perfect and the setting couldn’t have been more appropriate—a traditional New England farm in unspoiled New England countryside. To top it off, the Lincoln Trad Jazz Band was performing beautifully. Everyone I met was friendly. I think so many pleasures all at once made me giddy, because I couldn’t stop taking pictures.
Having exhausted the possibilities of the Waltham Farmers’ Market, photographically, I decided to venture next door to Lincoln, and see what its veggie market had to offer. There were only two vendor stalls, but that was enough to attract a small but steady stream of people. The host farm was Codman Community Farms, which describes itself as a "nonprofit agricultural enterprise." You can read its fascinating story here, or watch it on video. The photos, below, are presented in the order taken.
