It was a brightly overcast day when I trouped over to Waltham Lumber for a round of picture-taking. It was also a Sunday, with no one about, which made my work easier. The lumber yard is a fixture in town; it’s been around as long as anyone can remember. The site is divided by railroad tracks (now serving a commuter train), with the original yard to the west, and the newer, bigger portion to the east. An aerial view can be seen in my earlier project, Bridge.
