This had all the appearances of a job fair, but in fact it was a series of service learning projects created by students at Winchester High School. The projects covered such topics as climate action, civil service, vegan cooking, and books on diversity at the public library. Speakers and student musical performers filled out the event.
For several weeks prior, students had collected personal care products for those in need. During the event, a steady stream of volunteers packed them in boxes for distribution by a local, public service agency.
The event was organized to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King. The Town of Winchester is an affluent suburb ten miles northwest of Boston. I took these photos on freelance assignment for the local newspaper.
