Riverfest 2021 was officially opened with the singing of the national anthem and the playing of patriotic music by the American Legion Band of Waltham. There were fewer stalls this year, and no food trucks, out of deference to the pandemic. But the crowds were no less enthusiastic. Just the chance to get out and mingle had a buoyant effect.
