A telephoto lens—even a small and limited one like mine—isn’t meant for indoor use, for a variety of reasons. But it sure does allow me to poke into little corners of the café world, producing some lovely images that would not have been possible otherwise. The Twisted Tree Café is brightly lit—unusually so—by large, south-facing windows, which makes unconventional use of the lens just possible.
