Rockport is a charming tourist Mecca 40 miles north of Boston. It’s also famed for its artists’ colony. An old, red, fishing shack in the inner harbor, dubbed Motif No. 1, has been painted by countless artists over the years. A friend and I spent a few hours in Rockport recently, just long enough to enjoy a dinner of freshly caught seafood, and take a few photos. The town’s delightful wharf area can be seen in my 2018 project, Rockport.
