Winchester is an affluent Boston suburb a few miles north of Waltham. Alhough it was a gray, dull day, young and old alike turned out for the Veterans’ Day Parade. Some came to march; others just to watch. The High School Band marched and played beautifully. The Boston Firemen’s Band, holding up the rear, gave a superbly musical performance. This was a day intended for remembrance, but it was also a memorable and exciting day for the residents. I took these photos on freelance assignment for the local newspaper.
