The gap between spring flowers and early summer flowers seems longer than usual this year, perhaps because the weather has been cooler than usual. That gap is usually filled by City plantings, in beds around City Hall, and along public streets. This year, that program has apparently been canceled.
While I was chatting with a neighbor recently, she pointed to some tiny forget-me-nots she had planted in her garden. To fill the flower gap, and offer some cheer in these gloomy times, I photographed the tiny flowers and blew them up as you see them here. The top image is a blowup of the original photo, while the bottom is a blowup from the blowup.
