According to Wikipedia, there are over 2200 species of Iris, so I think I can be excused from providing details about this extravagant specimen. It was growing in a posh neighborhood in a nearby town. I had to travel a bit to find photogenic flowers because the usual bed plantings—both public and private—have been canceled here in Waltham, as has so much else this spring, due to the pandemic.
