Moody Street is lined with shops and restaurants, some modest and affordable, others chic and expensive. A variety of ethnic cultures are represented, as befits this most diverse of cities, Waltham, proud of its immigrant heritage.
Moody Street might be called a working street. People go there for a purpose: to shop or dine. It is not a grand open space, as one finds in the world’s great cities, where people go to stroll and loll.
This presents a challenge for the street photographer, hoping to make a memorable record of the street and its activities. This is my second effort in this regard. You will have to judge for yourself whether I am making progress.
Incidentally, it was a cold, overcast day when these photos were taken, with a late, spring snow in the offing. These dark photos reflect not only the poor light, but the general mood on the street.
